Patrolling the Age of Conan forums for any dirt on the game (if you havent noticed from all the videos I’ve posted I may be obsessed) I came across an interesting thread. Some one has started a petiton to put in a toggle switch to make it so you can turn off or leave on the nudity. I find myself very confused about whether or not the petition is worth signing.

On one hand the developers put nudity in there on purpose. Whether it was to get media attention, or if it was part of their vision one will never know, but it was purposely put there nonetheless. I also have no personal qualms about nudity. Its a part of life and it won’t ever EVER hurt anyone to see some digitized tang.

On the other hand its an MMO so I will probably spend a lot of time playing it. I am married. See the problem? Yes I am adult, but I’m sure my wife isn’t going to love being next to me on her computer then looking over at mine and seeing boobs. What if you want to play on your laptop in a public place? You can wear head phones for profanity but shout you really have to invest in a privacy screen for a game?

I guess in the end it all is going to have to fall on how much nudity there actually is in the game. I am for now electing not to sign the petition. I’m willing to bet that in actuality there are only maybe 4 scenes in the endless hours of gameplay with nudity. I have nothing to back that up but does anyone doubt it?
